If you are between 12 and 15 years of age and had your first COVID jag over 12 weeks ago, YOU ARE NOW ELIGIBLE TO GET YOUR SECOND DOSE.

We are offering drop-in appointments in all of our vaccination centres across Grampian.

Aberdeen City and Moray can take drop-ins from Monday 3rd of January and Aberdeenshire from Wednesday 5th of January.

If the young person has had Covid then please leave it for 12 weeks before attending.


16-17 year old vaccinations.

Following the latest advice on the vaccination of younger people all 16 and 17 year olds can register for their first dose.

If your 16th birthday is on or after 1 August 2021 you can self-register for an appointment at: https://www.nhsinform.scot/vaccineregistration . Pfizer is the only vaccine currently licensed for use in under 18.

Second Dose

If you are over 8 weeks since your first dose and you can receive your second dose by:

  • booking your appointment online
  • phoning the national vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013 (open 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week)
  • Attend a drop-in clinic

The online booking portal is now open for all bookings, first dose, second dose and booster dose vaccines. To access the online booking portal, please click here, we are adding additional appointments every day, so please keep checking if you don’t find a suitable one today.

We will be inviting people who are Severely Immunosuppressed for their boosters in early January, this will initially be by letter initially.

If you’re over 18 as of Monday the 20th of December you can walk in without an appointment, clearly, there may be times that you have to wait for a lengthy period but you will get your jab. Please ensure that you are 12 weeks on from your second dose.
